Both are very subjective terms. However, in my opinion cute is more closely tied to a personality than physical appearance. When I describe a girl who I think is cute I may refer to her facial features rather than her physical attributes (her body). In my books, a hot girl is someone who looks more like a model, with a great body. Howver, whether a girl says you are cute or hot is not that big a deal; either way she is complimenting you.

I wonder the same thing when guys call girls hot or cute.
For me there isnt all that much of a difference. Both are good. Thats a hards question to answer. Think about it. Whats the difference when you call a girl hot or when you call her cute?

If a girl calls you hot, thats usually meant in a lusty way. If she says you're cute, it's possible that it means what it sounds like.."cute" as in softspoken and not rugged..clean..shy..that whole type thing. It's more innocent than a girl calling you "hot". It could also mean they're being nice and saying you're cute but wouldn't go out with you. They can even mean the same thing, being "hot" to one girl may be the equivalent to being "cute" to another girl-- and vice versa.

I dont know what girls mean when they say those two but girls always call me cute and once in awile a chick will same im hot.
when referring to guys calling girls hot or cute , i say that hot is a chick i think is to fine and i would love to do anything with her
but cute is acutally better cause theres more to her then just looks, so its easier to see their personality.

Generally I agree, as I hate it when men refer to women as being "cute", but when I say a guy is cute, it rarely has anything to do with his physical attributes. He may have tilted his head a certain way, or his voice might crackle at certain points of the conversation, or he might have a cute nose. Cute denotes delicacy and it tugs at a person's heartstrings, kind of how a playful kitten will warm your heart. "Hot" is, "DAMN what I'd do to him!"
"Cute" often leads to "hot."
But by no means are "cute" and "hot" to be compared. They're just different. Don't be offended or annoyed.

Cute means nice enough to meet the parents. Hot means lets get it on!!

I myself use cute when it comes to actions a guy does. Hot is usually physical but it's not a word I usually use. Either way, it's usually a good thing when you get called either so don't worry about it!

Hot is lust and one night, while cute means she's into you. I never say the word "hot" when I am talking about someone I am in love with. Hot is meaningless and superficial.
