I used to morn the death of flies. Now, at times, there is relief when a mean and nasty person dies. There are those, I guess called bully's, that hurt everyone and I felt to keep peace that I must do anything to keep peace with them. Over the past couple of years, when bully's die that have caused extreme hurt to most, I feel relief. Even with relatives who have hurt so many, I cannot grieve. Do you ever feel relief when a nasty mean person dies?

It's only natural to feel relief when a bully is finally unable to bully anymore. To have a party and laugh it up would not be a good response, though. I feel sad for bullies because they most likely got that way because someone bullied them first. Still, they had the choice to continue the bad behavior or not.

People who act like ******* all their lives can't expect a bunch of sobbing mourners at their funerals.

My grand parents were a pair of curmudgeonly old coots who enjoyed nothing better than making those around them feel miserable and inadequate.

I sang a happy tune when they died and never felt anything but relief.

Don't feel bad for not feeling bad. It's the NOT dearly departed who need to mourn the relationships they destroyed and the people they hurt. Here's hoping there IS an afterlife for them to contemplate such things.

When my Mom died suddenly, it was almost a relief. It sounds horrible, but it was such a struggle to make our relationship function when she was alive. I know exactly how you feel. You shouldn't feel guilty for not mourning someone if you have no good memories to miss.
