No you won't pay sales tax separate. The gift card is same as cash and as long as you have enough money on the gift card, you won't pay any extra for your purchase. You might want to check the back of the gift card. Some gift cards will start to lose money if not used within a certain time frame, while others are good for as long as you have them.

It depends. If the cost of your gift and the sales tax is at or under your gift limit you are covered.
