The ancient Egyptians worshiped cats as gods. Cats have never forgotten this. You are not the master, you're staff.

Cats are their own master. You can't make a cat do anything it doesn't want to do. If you don't understand that very basic fact about cats, maybe you need a different type of pet.

Cats don't 'think' they are your master, they just assume it to be true! They are pure hedonists - their life is their own and you have been allowed to worship them from above. If you are lucky, you may be able to pet and pleasure them, feed them and love them - you may until they get tired of it and take off to chase a leaf that blows across the yard. I never take it personally because I believe they are actually suffering from severe cases of attention deficit disorder. Their whims and moods change in an instant and they are very impulsive. We have but to love them and enjoy their presence - and that is enough for many of us mere human beings.

Just be glad s/he's letting you live there! Yep, that's pretty much it - they rule and let you take care of them. Trying to get them to think otherwise - a total exercise in futility. But what they give back is a whole lot of love and affection that you can't find anyplace else! Nothing like the sound of a kitty purring on your lap.

Yes s/he does! That's just the way cats are. I don't think there is ANY way to chance a cat's mind. My vet's office writes reminders and letters to the cat and tells the cat to tell their servant that they need to be seen for their shots or whatever. I think just enjoy your cats company and get used to the fact that you will be a servant for the rest of his/her life!

there is countless reality in what you assert, yet many human beings also journey chuffed moments in-between the tediousness of existence so we should not be too quick to make assumptions. perhaps once you note human beings interior the morning in the previous artwork they offer the impact of being like lack of existence has arisen, yet how do they offer the impact of being even as they play with their little ones or kiss their better 1/2 even as they get domicile. for sure some human beings only have crap lives finished end. can't be helped. we are stuck interior the rat race. it isn't a sparkling idea i am going to guarantee you.

have you ever heard the saying that you don't own a cat it owns you? that's true. all you can do is ignore the cats begging for attention until it get the point that you will give it attention when you want to not whenever it wants it. don't completely ignore it though or else they tend to feel unloved.

Hi there...haven't you hear the olé cliche: "Dogs have masters and cats have servants". I think they know this is so true and take advantage of this fact despite how we feel. LOL

I hate to break it to you..but that's the way cats are. they own you. they own your house. you play with them when they want you to. they come around when they want to play or eat or when they want something. That is the nature of the cat. If you don't want that... then get a dog.

LOL..... Welcome to cat ownership! Of course your kitty thinks it's the master. Cats are VERY snooty and regal. As far as making it think otherwise..... well......I DOUBT IT. good luck though. Maybe you should think about just accepting the fact that your cat rules. LOL
