Cute and smart would be my choice. I most likely would have someone that I could share meaningful dialog with. Hot and dumb is just that, lots od show, but not dependable for anything other than show. You'll probably spend a lot of time helping her do things that cute and smart would figure out on her own. Hot and smart would be nice as well. The smarter she is, the better the company, and a better companion. Just remember one thing, it's a female, and they'll still want to feel special to just you. They are like nitroglycerin, one wrong move and "BANG", it's all over except for the bewildered wondering what went wrong.

I am cute and smart. I don't really think too much about looks. I love my man very much. He's not fine looking and he's not an Einstein. He's intelligent enough to carry on a decent conversation, he can fix anything around the house that breaks. He listens to me when I talk to him and he pays attention. He loves his mom and he treats his mentally challenged sister like a princess. He's not someone that would stop traffic and he's no professor but he's just about the greatest guy I know.

Cute and smart.
Hot and dumb isn't going to get you anywhere. I mean... if he's dumb he probably:
1. bad in bed
2. bad with romance
3. bad with relationships
4. bad with jobs/money
I could go on and on... but my main point is hot + dumb= BAD!
