Alcohol is in your system for a VERY short time. an easy way to think of it is: for every average size beer you drink, it will take about an hour to be cleared from the body. You can speed that process up with caffeine (coffee) and LOTS of water.

First the bad news: There is a new relatively-new test on the market that searches for ethyl glucuronide, which is produced when the body metabolizes alcohol. This test is effective up to 80 hours after alcohol is consumed.
Now the great news: There is almost a zero percent chance that your workplace utilizes this method. If they were, they would probably be checking your urine instead of your blood.
I am rigorously drug and alcohol tested regularly, sometimes after a late night on the town with the taste of beer still in my burps and I have never failed once.
Just so long as you take it easy the night before a test, you will be fine.

If you are a truck driver the DOT rules and regulations states that 8 hours of non driving is required after drinking alcohol before getting behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle. And if blood alcohol measures more that 0.04 it is driving under influence if driving a commercial vehicle.

First of all, ALCOHOL is legal if you are 21!! So long as you don't go overboard & don't drink & drive!!! And, to date; I don't know of ANY job that takes blood tests for anything!! Urine tests, yes!!!
If you are talking DRUG testing........ your employer is looking for ILLEGAL DRUG USE, not alcohol use!! Illegal drugs can stay in your system for long periods of time PLUS they can now test your hair folicles for them!!!
