I read the book below and it discussed many indicators such as blinking and tail placement as well as purring, kneading and rubbing against you. It explains why these are marks of affection from a cat physiology standpoint.
It is very informative and I recommend it to any cat lover.

Well, my cat shows me all the time. She likes to nuzzle in my neck, she will curl up on my lap, she licks my face and neck and likes to get under the covers with me and if I'm gone for a few hours she actually greets my like a dog. Plus she purrs quite a lot and loudly...I always heard that was a sign of a happy cat, and if your cat is happy.....she loves you.
On the other hand cats are very independent. If they don't want to be bothered, they're not going to be bothered.
But, I think these are all signs that your cat loves you.
I'm not a cat expert, but I've been a pet owner all my life...cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, fish, etc.

Congrats on being a mommy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as cats loving you go, there's many things. First is your typical outward signs. Rubbing on legs, following you, purrrrring. Inner signs are ones such as vocal communication (they try and talk to you in Meowish),purring again. Man there's so many! Tail up when they walk, when you sit down they come running to you...well i could go on forever!! I'll spare you.

If you treat them with respect, love and affection, pet them on command, feed them exactly what they want - even if they don't make it clear what it is that they want, spoil them beyond belief - you can be assured they love you. One failsafe way is if they will rub or touch noses with you. That's a sign of affection in the cat world; so consider yourself really lucky if that happens!
Just keep them warm and cozy and you can't fail.

I can tell my cat loves me because she is one of those cats that dont like to be by people but she always comes by me and cuddles with me and lets me pet her and gives me kisses. But honestly cats dont know what love is no animal does so they cant really show that. I guess you can tell if they like to cuddle with you or be on your lap those sortta things.

A cat loves you when...
...he stares at you and follows you with his eyes
...he follows you from room to room
...he runs to you even when he knows you're mad at him
...he sits in front of you and blinks his eyes ever soooo slowly
...he brings you little surprise love offerings like dead mice and birds
...he looks adoringly at you when you play with him, groom him or simply talk to him
...he poops and pees for you when you ask him to
...he comes bounding out of wherever as soon as he hears your footsteps or your voice
...he answers when you call
...he lays on your tummy or right next to your head to groom you when he knows you are feeling poorly
...he protects you from strange kitties, doggies, racoons and bees (?) without regard for his own safety (so you need to watch out for that)
...he swallows his medications becuase he feels that it is important to you that he does so
...he hides his head in your armpit while the vet is examining him (hee hee hee)
did i miss anything?

someone told me once that if you squint your eyes at them, they'll do it back and it means they love you. I think it may be a load of rubbish... but it seems to work. Then again I'm the primary feeder of my cat, so I think he loves me regardless...
Dogs have masters, cats have servants.

If your cat cuddles next to you and follows you every where then your cat loves you.
