If so how should the one who is loved and not the girl friend handle it?

well quite honestly.... most guys hate hurting people they care about in any way. even if that caring is just friendship, he probably doesn't want to break her heart or even risk doing that. The one he loves and the one hes with can be entirely different things... I'm the same way right now. It just hurts to see my current girlfriend cry, even when not breaking up with her is hurting the one i love.
its because hes scared that he isn't going out with the one he loves. Support him, don't push him towards it.. just help hm with his decisions... whichever end you're on

Happens all the time. You dont always get to be with the person you love. You cant always control who you love and sometime the one you love is not good for you. Sad but true.

Not the kind of love you WANT him to have for you. You CAN love a person as a friend, and I'm sorry if that's all he sees you as. <:S Just wait for him to be through with this other girl for whatever reason.

Maybe but it is sooooooooo uncommon. Put yourself out there a bit. If the other girl gets dumped, then yeah, he really likes you. If not, he wants her at least for the moment so go get yourself a man of your own, maybe the guy you're talking about might get jealous...

Hell yeah, guys can screw anything that moves, and a variety of things that dont, and still love one girl.
We just like sticking things in places, even more when it is naughty and taboo.

but guys are shallow and most of the time clueless
he'll get around to you
but he just want do it until he's completely sure that he wants you

he can love you but also like the girl he with. by being with her can also make him look better with her than being with you. i know its harsh but guys are harsh and thats true.
