Vicodin is one of many things used to mask the pain. It does nothing to help it go away. The codeine is a booster of what ever else is in it and causes a reaction in many people - example - I react like I' m on speed.

Now to the headache - Drink WATER - running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil can cause overheating (headaches) or a blown engine (migraines or worse).

The quick fix is to take a couple of swigs of molasses (contain magnesium and potassium) which will help both the blood flow and give your body stuff that helps regulate it.

The long term is to understand the muscles that cause pain and referred pain. The most comprehensive book I have found is The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. For $20.00 you can have a reference that will be invaluable with a 75% success rate.

That doesn't sound like an allergic reaction. Did you take it with food? Usually the problem is an upset stomach. The headache may have nothing to do with the Vicodin....but it is a side effect that is listed in the PDR.
