Yes as long as you talk and check up on her often. If you can send her flowers or a card or a teddy bear. You know like the build a bear. Dress it up like you and you can even make the bear say a personalized message with your voice. So even though you cant be there personally, the bear is there in your place. and you know you dont even have to buy the card, take the time to make one. We females are suckers for thoughtfulness. But yes talk to her check up on her let her know that just cuz she is not around physically, mentally she is all you think about and that you care.

If you're there for her to confide in and cheer up when she's really sad about being sick, that is definitely enough. Real friends don't expect presents all the time and stuff like that, they just need someone to always be there for you. Also, let her know that you wish you could be there more, and feel bad that you can't see her all the time. That will mean a lot to her. :-) I hope she gets better soon! And ps. you're a very good friend.

You haven't tried visiting her in the hospital??? Sometimes small gestures like that mean a hell of a lot more than cards, flowers and what not. As long as you put 100% into the relationship you shouldn't have any regrets. If you do all you can do, the rest falls on her. She should recognize your efforts and appreciate it.

IM her, send her cheery emails and when you drop by take her a little basket of treats. Things to read, heat/cold therapy packs, tasty treats, movies, music, anything you know she'll appreciate. It doesn't have to cost much to show you care. Make her some soup, she'll think you're fantastic.

It's the thoughtfulness that will make her feel better and more fondly of you, even if you're not there much.

If you can't be there for her I'm sure she'll understand if you are atleast thinking of her, maybe make or buy her a card, and even get a dvd of her favourite show or movie, or book and a little choocy bar or bag of microwave pop corn so she has stuff to do while she is getting better.. I know that I would love to get something like that from my boyf if he couldn't be there...

oh not really - I mean try to be there for her as much as you can , I dont know how many hrs you work, or if you go to school, i am not saying quit everything you do, but try your best to be there for her as much as you can.. she will need you more than anyone else...hopefully she will recover soon, it will help a lot if you show her how much u care for her by being there for her and maybe getting her some small stuff that youknow mean a lot to her and will make her feel better.

You should try to be there for her as much as possible. My boyfriend always says, "actions speak louder than words". When you do talk to her, ask her if you can do anything for her and let her know that if she needs anything, you will be there. If you are truly busy with important things, then she should understand.

That's really sweet that you're worried...try setting up a date to see her. Or write her a letter. That would be romantic and quick to do.

Yes, but remember that she needs her rest. Let her get better, but be by her side.
