Good question, I am 19/F seriously debating moving out 'cause I have some major issues with my mother. I know things will be a little brutal if I do, though.

I moved out of my parents place when I was 18. But, my parents still were supporting me monetarily. At age 22, I moved in with my fiance and started covering my own finances. It's been wonderful so far just having the two of us and our dog.
Just be sure that you are OK being in a small space with someone whose actions and emotions effect everything you do. If you have a fight with them, you can't really get away from them to cool off. You have to know yourself and know them and know how your actions will impact them and vice versa.
It's not a decision that I would make lightly. You might want to start living on your own before moving in with your bf/gf. Living on your own can be a big challenge for some people. Tack on living with a bf/gf and you could be in for a meltdown. Take baby steps and you can adjust accordingly.

I moved out of home when i was 17 with two friends.. It was scary but allot of fun.. the freedom is great .. but it can be very tough when bills have to be paid and cleaning & cooking needs to be done, but I find after the intial first 12 months of leaving home you soon learn the hard and easy ways of doing things, and cleaning and cooking just becomes routine.. I'm now 24 and have had my parents come stay with me evry now and again for a week or two at a time.. and as cool as they are I still can't wait till they are gone and I have my freedom and independance back//

I moved out at 17 for the first time with a boyfriend. I've also lived by myself It's nice to be completely independent and have to rely on yourself completely! Make sure you have enough to pay the bills, rent and also be able to go out with your friends because what's the point to be on your own if you're never going to see your friends! Make a list of what you need and what you'll be able to scramble up between your parents, friends, etc. like a bed, couches, dishes, etc. Good Luck!

I moved out a week or so before turning 21. I was on my own for a few weeks, then my sister moved in with me (that being my only regret thus far... :S). My brother moved in too a few months later, and everything was cool. My sister moved back into our parents house because she couldn't afford living on her own (even with two other people helping with the bills). I LOVE being on my own. I get to sleep in however the hell long I want according to my schedule, and basically do whatever I want. Plus, I refuse to be one of those young people who move back in with their parents just because they can't cut the mustard. I'll ask my parents for help, but I will NOT move back in with them. That is just the ultimate sign of failure.

I moved out of my dad's house at 18, into my boyfriends house. I don't have any regrets, really. We are married and have 2 kids now.

I'm 19 and have lived with my boyfriend for over a year. We get along great for the most part. There will always be little things that you'll have to work out though.
