Does anyone know why my dog is afraid of my painting? I had one up there before but he didn't care. He won't eat his food because it's so near it! :O

Dogs don't recognize two dimensional pictures, so I don't think it's the picture. Maybe the painting smells funny or maybe it got bumped and moved or made a funny noise, and now he's scared to go near it. Leave it there, and if it doesn't move he'll get used to it.
I had a dog that was scared of cardboard tubes. Once she went into a room and accidentally knocked over an empty wrapping paper tube that was leaning against the wall. She was scared to go back the rest of the day.

It sounds like your dog is afraid of change. He was used to having something on the wall for maybe his entire life. And now you have taken it down and replaced it with with a new strange picture. Dogs, are very smart.

I don't know, but maybe you should move it away from your dog's food or move your dogs food away from it .

Well to me i think your dog doesn't like paint because he proably doesn't like the smell of it.

It must be something scary to him or maybe the color. Maybe you should switch careers :)
