You hit your Ctrl button or the tap that has the windows flag on it!! I do it all the time...Just back out and come back in! It will go back to the default settings!! lol
I'm not sure about your desktop tho! Try right clicking on your mouse reset your desktop to default settings.

Almost sounds like your screen resolution or refresh rate has changed.

As already mentioned, Right Click on your Desktop, select Properties and then the Settings tab. Adjust the slider up from say, 640x480 / 800x600 to 1024x768 or 1280x1024. The will bring your resolution to a more modern size. If you still have a the screen offset like the margins, try changing your refresh rate. Try 60hz - 85hz. To do this, from the Settings tab, click the Advanced button, then in the new window, select the Monitor tab and there is a drop down with different refresh rates. If you have a flat screen monitor, they usually have an on screen dialog that will popup and display the preferred resolution + refresh rate. 60hz usually works well with most CRTs.

I'd check the Display Settings.

Just right-click anywhere on the desktop, and select Properties from the menu that appears. Hopefully, the answer will be somewhere in there.

If that doesn't work, use System Restore to take your computer back to a point before this started. It's in Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

You can also get to both Display Properties and System Restore from the Control Panel.

If you need to use System Restore to fix the problem, then you probably need to check for Antivirus and Spyware also. Make sure you do a full system scan.
