Sunman: What is the sanctification of the saints?

In a manner of speaking, yes...
This is the beginning of wisdom...

Daniel P has made an interesting point:
God is changed by our awakening...

I say the beginning of wisdom because after the initial experience of the Light, one must must then try to assimilate(digest and make use of) the knowledge and translate it into a practical philosophy of actions in ones daily life,
I believe this is called 'the sanctification of the Saints'

Nice question. Yes. We are not God we are infinitesimal sparks of His splendor. We have all the qualities of God but not in the same quantity. We can become Godly but not God. We are His sons and daughters. So knowing our eternal relationship with God also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. is enlightenment. Some think knowing the light is enlightenment but that light is Gods glowing effulgence emanating from His Unlimited Spiritual Transcendental body. They just haven't gotten close enough to see His smiling face. go to harekrishnatemple.c for all details, Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada-tells the process to enlightenment.

YES... but what is GOD? Do you understand the world... or the universe? How do you begin to understand, to discover the world?

the one I AM: I would say one begins by forgetting beliefs, become an empty vessel.

YES... then open your eyes and start to look at the world like a child and keep asking why why why? question your questions surly now you will be able to find the answers. Each and everyone have their own path to find.

Such questions are so abstract. They lack tangibility. It is very easy for us to disappear into a "good" book or up our own rear-ends with the abstractificationalism of spiritual philosophy.
But my answer is that I don't know! What I do know is that I'll get a load of thumbs-down for using long (but accurate) words by "The Sun" element on YA. Boy! they really are an element. They hate anything that isn't embossed Anglo-Saxon.
"Man hate long word. Long word hurt man head". LOL!

Knowing God is one thing.Knowing the Self is something else...but knowing the Self of ALL selves is the ultimate goal of every seeker and is called enlightenment.

Well, if you intend "enlightenment" to mean to make more ignorant, then yes... Look at the facts. The bible says Adam and Eve... Yet Eve is made with Adams Genes (his rib). Two people alone cannot create a genetically viable race let alone a couple that genetically identical!!!

For me, talking and trying to listen to God ("knowing" God) has become...the ultimate relationship. And yes, acknowledging all of my thoughts, dreams, wishes, thanksgivings, faults, limitations, insecurities, weaknesses and "things I keep in the dark" to him has become a way to know myself better.

probably would be if there WAS a god. but as there isn't then enlightenment of ones self would be the realisation that we only have one life and should the best of what we have, and if not happy with that then aspire to improve urself. happiness in oneself is the only way to true enlightenment

For a Christian or other Godhead based religion a connection with God can be enlightenment...not with ones self, but with ones spirit. GBY

Yes.

Knowing God is knowledge of His Word.
Perfection is full age or maturity in His Word.
