This guy that I approached on an online dating website almost three weeks ago still hasn't asked me for my number or to go on a date. So I told him after day 12 what is his purpose on match if he is not going to go for it-he told me that he was going to take his profile down-then once January got here he said women started winking and emailing him--So even though he knew that he was going to be extremley busy in Jan and Feb--he left it up anyway--I kept talking to him--I think I am into him--then yesterday--I started reading 'he's just not that into you' and everthing about this guy went against anything the book had to say about men--so I emailed him and told him the following--I take back being your friend again, What was I thinking? I thought you had potential with me--too bad--good luck--then he sends me this email saying that he was going to ask me for my number that day--and blah blah, I told him-yeah after you got my email you say that now--then we ended up talking on instant

Your mistake was going after him ALWAYS let guys chase you dont you chase them. REMEMBER THAT!!

A few things here:
1. Put down the pop psychology books. You've gotta be able to hone into reality, and there is no formula really.
2. How can he be into you? He's never met you. You're just exchanging pathetic emails through a dating site.
3. You want somebody to arrange a fist meeting pretty quickly (within one or two emails and possibly one phone call if he gives you his number--some women prefer to get the guy's number first).
4. The first meeting should be fairly casual and relaxed. The purpose is to see if there is a possibility of any physical chemistry at all.
Wasting time exchangng lots of emails or too many phone calls before meeting is just a waste of time and puts off the inevitable first meeting.

Well I presonally don't like talking online to people it causes to much problem but for you, here is my advice. If I were you I would keep talking to him for awhile get to know him alittle more. Before calling or meeting because if you really like he guy online, then you should like him when you do meet the only thing that might is his looks. If that is why you don't like him when you meet him then you are quite shallow.

Why must he ask for your number? Why don't you ask for his number and go further to see if you're not wasting your time?
You should ask his number and you would be controlling situation because you call him whenever you want (so you won't be waiting til he calls you) and on the talking you see if you're not wasting your time.
