You could try finding something that it really likes to do, and then do that. I had a Malinois that was obsessed with Chuckit (a plastic thing that throws tennis balls) and I would have to take her out every day and play with her for about 30 minutes to tire her out. If it is an option, I would take your Berner to a dog park or to play with a friends dog. Also, my Berner gets board so I give him Kongs and real bones (sold at pet stores for dogs) to help keep him busy, but he is not hyper so I do not know if it would help with your dog.

Thats going to be a pretty large hyper dog soon ;) Exercise is a good way to help also. Walks, playing fetch, anything that will get your puppy moving and use up some of that energy. A tired pup is less likely to be crazy and destructive. Puppies are usually more energetic than older dogs but that can last until age 2 and you pup will be full grown by then so best to figure out what is gonna work now.

Bemese Mountain dogs, need a lot of exercise. They were used for herding and have a lot of energy to burn up. Take him for a long walk every day and get him tired. They will be active even when they aren't a puppy.

Good Luck

Let it age, it will grow out of it. I love when they do SPLs though, Spontaneous Puppy Laps.
