Personally, I read a book, a magazine, listen to my iPod, play on my Nintendo DS for a bit, etc, etc. I have heard that that'll be even worse for you as your mind will begin to associate reading, music, and playing video games on your bed with everything BUT sleeping. If you're really desperate for a good night's sleep instead of insomnia, I suggest you try it for a couple of nights.
