Like when you message someone and then you see that the person read it but they NEVER reply...do you feel a little upset and that it is kind of rude?

just clarifying...if its like somone who is your friend...and you can tell if someone read the message if you look at the sent folder...it will say "sent" "read" or "replied"

##### Update - By the way, I think the way the "read" "reply" thing works is if YOU did read or reply to the message - not if they did.
Do you think it is more rude for a mother to be checking those messages? Think about that... I know I do it, which is probably not appropriate in kids eyes (I have no idea how old you are, but I'm just saying this happens - but there is some truly bad stuff going on in myspace).
If you know that not to be the case, I'd say the person reading the email probably enjoyed getting your message but didn't have but a second to get off of there and get something done. Don't judge, just be glad they read it. If they never get back to you, it could be you didn't wait long enough or they forgot because so many things were going on.
I hope this doesn't sound rude, but pick up the phone and call your friend. If you don't know their number, it isn't a friend and you shouldn't be worried about it. That probably sounds rude, but it is the truth. Sorry.

Yes, I do think it's rude, or at the very least inconsiderate. It's like if you were to ask them a question in person and they just stared right through you as if you weren't even there.
I think you would be perfectly within your rights as a friend to call them on it. Did they think if you weren't asking them a direct question they shouldn't be bothered to say something in return?

sometimes maybe they don't have time to respond or don't know what to respond with or could have any kind of excuse so it is really kind of rude of you to make up excuses for them like they are just ignoring you. if you think they are ignoring you then they aren't a very good friend. i find often i am very blunt and people are kind of scared by it so they don't respond because they have been conditioned to shy away from bluntness because it is usually accompanied by rudeness. i am very blunt but seldom rude. maybe you are too. lighten up.

I don't really give a sh!t about it. I don't message people either unless they message me first...but how would you know the person read it already?
