I have purchased satin/sateen pillowcases at Kohl's, Wal Mart, and JC Penney but there are several websites on the internet where you can order them. Do a search on it.
Silk or satin pillowcases are beneficial because they do not dry out your skin and hair the way cotton does. This drying out leads to hair breakage. Also, your face is less likely to get the pressed in wrinkles you can get when sleeping on a cotton pillowcase because your skin slides on the material rather than sticks. I think I first heard about this in Prevention magazine.
I have slept on a satin pillowcase for past ten years and see a noticeable difference. I forgot to bring my pillowcase on vacation last month and saw how dry my skin and hair became in less than a week. I highly recommend sleeping on a satin pillowcase.

Silk does not dry out the hair like cotton. Cotton absorbs moisture. Silk is best the best thing to prevent dry out hair which causes breakage. Bought my silk sheet sets at Crate & Barrel Bed Linens

At the silk pillowcase store of course. There are no benefits of using one though. That is unless you want to be aggravated by the thing all night long. The only thing silk is good for is dropping it on the floor if ya know what I mean.

There is no benefit and I do not recommend it. I suggest you shop the Internet for High Thread Count 100% Cotton Pillow Cases.
Get 300 count or higher and use it with a good Pillow.

Silk or Satin pillow cases can be found at a bed and bath boutique. Or the better quality linen stores. They do help with the hairdo's and keep them in place.

Please remember that silk is not the same as "satin" (which is usually cheap polyester).
Do a google search on silk pillowcase and you'll find lots of options.

It does not prevent hair breakage any more than any other fabric would.
