You can open the door; he cannot.
You can open a can of dog food; he cannot.

What other things can you do, that your dog cannot do, and would cause your dog to think that you are God?

While your question is ridiculous, I WILL say this; that we as people could stand to take a few lessons on faithfulness, forgiveness, and unconditional love from "man's best friend". And there ARE spiritual lessons we could incorporate from their behaviour as well. Ever notice how eager your puppy is to "lick" and make up when he's been naughty? Or how THRILLED they always are to see you even if you've just stepped out to check the mail? We aught, also to be just as willing and eager to MEET with our Master and to seek His forgiveness when we, too have been "naughty"! Sometimes I think Dogs can be more grateful than people by a LONG shot!!! They give you 100% . What do WE give GOD?

My dogs think I am their best friend. Don't know about their God, or if Dogs are anything but a reflection of God.

They greet me every morning like they've missed me for years.
They fight and wrestle in front of me (and under my feet) until they get attention.
They jump on my lap and use it as the most comfortable furniture in the house (maybe they just think I'm good furniture?).
They follow me around the house. When I get up, they get up. When I go to the bathroom, they wait outside the door. When I eat, they sit under my feet waiting for scraps (guess they think I'm messy).

My cat thinks I'm a Goddess. She follows me around and hopes that I will pet her. At night when I walk into a room, light suddenly appears. When I leave the room, the light goes away. I can cause rivers to flow out of metal fixtures and then make them stop whenever I want them to. I have a seemingly endless supply of food. With only a touch of my hand, I can make loud noises cease (like ringing phones and alarm clocks). On a chilly night I can cause a cozy fire to appear in our fireplace. She knows that if she can please me by looking cute, I will rub her belly. If she does something that I am displeased about, I will make deep, loud noises at her. And of course, I am the keeper of that magical herb of enlightenment---catnip!

My dogs can lick in places I can not. My dogs can scratch behind the ear with their leg, I can not, my dogs can act excited to see me in the morning I can not, my dogs can go from sound sleep to full run without caffeine I can not. So if my dogs think I am god then they have a small view of god.

The Bible tells us that all creation knows it's Creator. So, I do not believe my dog would think I am God.

I'm not sure he's not speaking to me right now.
But actually think about all the things dogs can do that we can't.
Dogs can lick themselves, they can sniff their peers asses without having the police called. They can have random sex and nobody complains. Seriously dogs have it made!

I don't think dogs have a concept of god. And if you follow the anthropic principle it is possible that god was created by humans so that humans could be created.
