Good question!
I see God as matierial and light. We are all emanations of God in my belief. That includes the Earth, all the animals, all the elements, etc. I see God like this big pool of energy. We are all part of that energy and go back to it when we die. Just like our bodies return to the Earth.
But I see God as light too. Light is one form I see God as. You can seperate God into all these different things, and they are different things, but in essence they are the same, and came from the same thing, and return to the same thing.
I see myself as part of God, so I also see myself as part of the Earth and everything on it.

I am definitely a created being in the image of God. I think an emanation would mean I am connected in much the sense that new age philosophy views god as impersonal and connected or strung from god.

I see myself as a product of my parents' lovemaking.
I do not see myself as some creation or emanation of any deity. My parents are human, as am I.

I can see why she is called Happykid...
Of course I see both views...in those terms, God is the totality of physical creation and the totality of light. He is also more than the sum of those parts...
