I just did the so called "Christian good person's" test, which taught me that I'm a bad, bad person, because I broke some of their commandments. I seem to be a liar, because once I told a mother that her baby was beautiful, while in fact the kid looked like a melted E.T.

So, according to the Bible, I fall short from God's Glory, because I was nice.

If Jesus was 'the only one who never sinned', that means most of the time he wasn't nice? Or how do I explain this concept? He never lied?

Oh well, the actual question here, I guess, is: Why create a "Good Person's Test" based on a book with rules that nobody can completely live up to anyway?

according to the bible, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god. therefore, the question really comes down to whether you or anyone else believes jesus is god on earth. if he was just a man, then, yes, jesus sinned. well, if you worship the bible, that is.

either way, i'm not interested in what he did wrong. he was a great guy, right up there with ghandi. i don't care if he sinned. he was good to the kids, prostitutes and lepers. as a matter of fact, all the down trodden. as a pagan, i really respect that. i think he had a really good path to enlightenment, and there are many pieces of evidence that allude to the possibility he studdied eastern mysticism during the missing years. let's not crucify him all over again. the first time should be enough.

I've never heard of the "Good Person's Test" but you are correct in saying that according to the Bible you fall short of God's glory, as does every person who lives on the planet.
It seems so impossible that Jesus lived here on earth without sin, but the Bible says he did, and I believe the Bible. I don't understand everything in it, but I also believe that we were not created to understand every detail of God's plan---otherwise we would BE God---no need to believe, have faith or any of it.
I am mistrustful of anything that purports to be a "Christian good person's " test---- I don't believe there IS such a person. Since the Fall in Genesis we have been a sinful people living in a sinful world.
I don't believe that God loves Mother Teresa *more* than he loves Jeffrey Dahmer (if in fact his conversion was genuine---not for us to say.)
Your last question is a good one, but if you're talking about the Bible being "the book with rules no one can completely live up to", you're missing the point completely---it's God's written revelation to us to tell us more about who He is, and more about who we are. The reason Jesus had to come is because none of us could "live up to" God's rules.
I find it interesting that people who most often criticize or misunderstand the Bible are the people who have never actually read it---they've only read ABOUT it, heard about it, decided they didn't like it, and go about spreading their gospel of
dissent and contempt.
In fact, I think I'm going to ask a question about that.

Read the original New testament before King Constantine changed so many things. The bible most have is a concoction. The Real original teachings of Christ where hidden. Constantine had all bibles burned at that time. (which was easy to do being only the Hierarchy of the church had copies and the Government officials. But two copies of the Original teachings Of Christ Where found and now available with authentic historical documentation. Yes Christ was without sin. He said you could be that is why he came. He washes your past sin and said "Go and sin no more.' That is truly being born again. Not this so called born again sin repent sin repent.and dump it all on Jesus That is demoniac. go to gospelofthenazirenes.c for all details.

Those "good person tests" are based on peoples' interpretations of what good is.
I think to Christ, who has an eternal perspective on things, the baby really would be beautiful. Perfection includes thoughts as well as what we say. However, I don't think that means any worse for you. I think you can know if you're a good person without having to rely on some test. But the truth is, we're all sinners and very bad people to some extent. Christ was perfect. Theoretically we can to if we never sin and always make the right choice. That's easy enough to say. But Christ was the only one who really was perfect. The rest of us fall far short of the mark. But through Christ we can be saved, after we do our best to do our part.

First, everyone has lied and I doubt that was the only lie you have ever told. I know I have told many. You don't have to be mean in order to tell the truth. Such as when the woman who was caught cheating on her husband was brought to Jesus. The priests of the time brought her to Jesus and asked Him what should be done with her. He told them that whichever one of them had never sinned could throw the first stone. He is Jesus! He can tell the truth without being mean. The purpose of the test (I assume you mean the test found at thewayofthemaster.com) is just to show you that EVERYONE needs Jesus as their savior!

Adam and Eve were perfect until they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.If there weren't any rules what would people do?
God lives by His law.He wanted us to also.Since sin is in the world we need Jesus' payment for sin to allow us to be forgiven of all sin.Think I'm sure you can come up with more sins (1 is all it takes to come up short). If you try jumping across the Grand Canyon and you miss the other side by 1 cm you still missed.

That's one of the things about Christianity dude. We have all sinned and if you don't accept Jesus Christ as your savior then you're going to hell. No one but Jesus has or ever will avoid breaking the Ten Commandments. Oh and dude it's not nice to lie to people so no you weren't nice.

I know when I'm faced with that dilemma, when you tell a little lie so you don't hurt someones feelings, it's really hard, but I amazed how I don't have to do that anymore. I just always seem to be able to speak the truth but in a really nice way. This is one of the examples of how Jesus protect our Holy Spirit.

Jesus is perfect, we all sin, thats why we need a savior to get to heaven,. God always demanded a blood sacrifce and only the blood of his perfect lamb' would do, He always wanted the best of what the people had for their sacrifices in the old test, but this sacrifcie was once and for all, there is no other sacrifice for sin, all you have to do is believe on him, Jesus told Nicodemus 'ye must be born again,' [spiritually] to enter heaven. our own 'goodness' doesn't do it.

The whole purpose of being in the earth is to know "SIN" we can not go to the next level of life without knowing it, there is no way you can become a better person if you don't know sin there for I think Jesus had to sin to know sin.
