This is driving me batty, my furnace broke and I got some carbon monoxide in the house... Just enough to give me a headache and loss of appetite and stuff. It is fixed now and the house is aired out, but the headache has been hanging on for the past several days. How long is it likely to last for? I have to insurance, just wondering.

carbon monoxide binds irreversibly to hemoglobin. Had it not gotten resolved, you would have died. You will have lasting effects from this until all the affected hemoglobin has been naturally degraded from your system. Your headaches may be from low oxygen supply.

Get the Fire Dept. over to you house and check the carbon monoxide levels. You shouldn't have a headache for days afterward. Also go to a doctor and get checked.
After the furnace was repaired, how was the CO levels checked?
