I've read that secondhand smoke contains twice the amount of nicotine, but does that mean it is addictive to the people who breathe it regularly?

NO...That's propaganda! Second hand smoke never hurt anyone other than the smell. It hasn't hurt people for years it's just the bastard non-smokers trying to ruffle a few feathers. If anyone tells you different they are Lying liars!!!

NO, that isnt true, my mother has been smoking when she was pregnant with me, she was smoking when she fed, me, she smoked when i started my fisrt day of school, when i started junior high school, and when i started high schooland she stil smokes now. Not that thats a good thing but, i have had many regular doctors visits to see if anything is wrong with my lungs and i am absolutely fine. Sure i may have some trouble breathing around her when she smokes but thats basically it. Second hand smoke is not addictive. In my opinion it actually makes you NOT want to smoke, but thats only me. So to answer your question briefly, no it absolutely not addictive. It is very bad for your health though, growing up when ever my mother smoked she did it alone in her bath room, in a car she rolled open a window, but she dint know secondhand smoke was bad for you she just hated the smell of it. :) But when she did find out she tried to keep away from me as much as possible when she smoked.

Of all the people I know who are around second-hand smoke regularly (at least a hundred), I know only ONE person who claimed to be addicted. I do believe, however, she may have said such to flatter the smoker, as they were in an intimate relationship. Other than that, I have NEVER heard of it!

I grew up with my mom smoking, always getting second hand smoke, and I still do whatever I can to get away from it. It bothers me so much and I have NEVER had a craving for it.

I don't think it is. I Hate to breathe in and smell second hand smoke. I wish all states will ban smoking inside clubs and bars or maybe have a designated area with circulation for smoking. I think more people would go if that were to happen.

If someone you dont know is smoking around you, you have the right to punch him in the balls and say it was self defense. =) dont actually do that, just embarrass him by asking him polite to leave or stop doing it.
