You can also get a taste deterrent like Fooey or Bitter Apple spray and dab it on the cords with a cotton ball, just make sure you aren't applying it to cracked wires or spraying it in an outlet. And crate training or getting a baby pen to use when you aren't home is really a good idea to keep him safe.

If it's not possible to relocate the wires while the new additon to the family gets trained, perhaps you could hit the hardware shop and get some lengths of hose or pvc. if the small ends of the wires will fit through. Hose comes in a range of colours which may even suit your decor... ;o)

Okay, everyone seems to have beat me to that.... have fun!

there are several options for you.
for cables that run across the wall, you can tape securely with any sort of strong tape (duct or packaging, etc)
for cables that run across the floor, a rug or mat over them will keep him from gaining access to them.
and for wiring at the outlets, you can buy cardboard, paper, foam, etc, just make sure its thick enough to withstand puppy teeth, and tape it over the wiring. none of these options, save the rugs are pretty, but they will help keep your yorkie from distroying the cables.

You can buy black plastic cord covers at most hardware stores. They are like black plastic tubing that have a slit in them so that you can put the wires in.
