It's more common with dry air and fabrics. Check your shoes/socks. Also are you wearing a sweater, coat, jacket? Sometimes certain plastics that can be found in chairs and other furniture can cause extra static. If you find it mostly in your home and during the winter it''s most likely caused by dry air. Try purchasing a humidifier or boiling some water to put moisture back into the air.

Maybe you just have an electric personality.
But seriously, if you want this to stop don't wear Nylon, Spandex, or other clothing that generates the static charge. Cotton is best for non-electric clothing. Finding a way to keep yourself grounded helps too. Dry atmosphere caused by forced air heating and very cold weather is a factor too. A humidifier can help with that.
Zapp ya later.

Static electricity. I have a pair of shoes that everytime I wear them I have that problem. I don't know why they are that way but then I have one pair that I never have that problem with.
