Some medications, such as Motrin (ibuprofen) and Hisminal you have to drink milk with, since they will ruin your stomach lining. It will say so on the side of the bottle.

Other medications you take with water to make them go down easy.

For most medications, yes. The water is needed to break down the medication. Because your body absorbs water very readily, it will help the medication get where it is needed faster, and more efficiently.

But, of course, if the medication says to take with food, then do so.

Yes, most medications nowadays recommend a full glass of water. Be sure to drink a full glass of water or milk (unless it states no dairy products) with any medication, especially when your stomach is empty (haven't eaten at all).

I don't take any medication... ever.. but if I did, I would drink all the water I could to get the toxins out of my body.

yes drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to flush out the medication which is like a toxin for your kidneys
