I have seen so many posted questions lately refering to some insane notion that if you dont believe in God, or if there isnt a god to worship and a heaven or an afterlife, then there isnt a point to living? Are you guys serious? I mean do you really believe that?

Thats so weak and sick and narrow minded I dont know even have a clue where to begin with that.

what's your problem?
dear - no one's hurting you by saying that they have salvation in Christ. There isn't any reason for you to be so angry at someone else's ideas.

If you are so bothered perhaps you should write to yahoo answers and request a new heading for "christian bashing" where you can post your comments and receive answers of agreement such as many of the ones posted here.

this is a religion and spirituality forum - to discuss religion and spirituality - not for the purpose of bashing Christians or anyone else.

I can't speak for all Christians, but I know that in my case, I am living a very happy and peaceful life right now. Even if I'm wrong and there's nothing after death, then I still have the satisfaction of knowing that I had a good life and tried to leave the planet a little better than I found it.

That's what my faith and my Christian walk are doing for me in the here and now. I leave the details of what happens afterwards in the hands of God.

Common sense is not narrow minded.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
This flesh life is maybe 80 years if you live that long.
Fact, the flesh will die.
Flesh death is not death of the being that dwells there.
But there is a second death called the lake of fire.
This is non-existence and all memory of you blotted out.
What is 80 years compared to eternity.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
Think about this planet earth and all things that offend are removed.
THEN READ THIS
I Cor.2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
MAN, that still blows my mind.
You know eyes have seen the garden of Eden.

Ya know, I am with you on this. I totally believe in God, heaven, etc but who are we to judge? If thats what some believe, so be it. I will do and believe what makes me feel right as will everyone else.

Well, Coppertop, there isn't. You're just here to provide power for the perpetual motion machine that serves no purpose other than to stock shelves and make Bill Gates richer by buying into Vista.

The only purpose you serve if you make under 100K a year is to word like the devil for the Fortune 500 so that they can go party at Martha's Vinyard with Polticians.

YOu serve no other purpose than to serve K-Mart, Target, Microsoft, GM, Chevron, STandard, Mobile, General Foods, Levi Strauss.

What they mean is there is no point (purpose) to life, not "there is no point to go on living". There is a difference. We were created to glorify God: that is our purpose in life. That doesn't mean that God wants us to praise Him all of the time and not do anything else. To glorify means to allow others to see Him through us. We are to live our day to day lives and do what normal people do, but in a way that reflects God. That means keeping the ten commandments, for starters. I hope this helps.

My answer is meant as humor,

-----------------------------

You ask where do you begin, I have a suggestion, click on this url and go to questions, then ask those of theists.

http://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt=ApGLq2NaTa3MhIpxsSrgMdbsy6IX?show=xf7ug5iyaa&preview=true

--------------------------

Its my profile here at answers, and most of my recent questions really aren't like what I'm talking about,

but scroll down theres one where I attack the Bible as the problem.

That is my serious answer to the question you pose,

the problem is their bible brainwashes them into thinking nonbelievers are rotten bastards.

But we aren't, we are beautiful decent people.

Don't you forget it,

if you are ever down and depressed cause some theist is pissing you off with their insane questions,

remember

jim darwin loves you babe
