I have seen this guy around school. When I first walked passed him, I noticed at the corner of my eye that he was staring at me (my face, to be exact.) I looked back at him, and he did not avert his gaze. And now, whenever we walk pass each other, I noticed that he'd look straight ahead, then when we're a foot from each other, he'd glance at me for a couple of seconds, then look away. (I saw this at the corner of my eye)

Does he think I'm attractive? What exactly is he thinking?
Next time, should I maintain eye contact and smile?

We don't know each other at all, if that helps.

Please, rude comments aren't appreciated.

Next time you catch him looking at you Just smil at him and say hello and see where he takes it from there. Just say Hi and then let him make the move.

In the eye contact game, you don't want to catch him ogling you, as others have suggested. That would embarrass him.

He might be having rude thoughts, but believe it or not guys can't predict with certainty what another guy is thinking in a situation like this. I'd say he's got some level of interest or at least curiosity, and there's a good chance he's too socially awkward to express it. He seems to have problems with eye contact so I wouldn't push eye contact. I would suggest looking in his general direction and saying "hi" a few times when you pass, and not making a full frontal assault with a Valentine's gift and stuff like that.

He probably doesn't want to look too interested because now he had been caught watching you. He won't look at you when it would be obvious. Do the maintain eye contact and smile thing you said.

that is how it begins,in the first 5 to 10 seconds.break the ice by saying hi,what could it hurt, and think of it as a friendly gesture, not expecting any more.in the old days it was not proper for the woman to make the first move, but today is a new high tech world.of course he is attractive to you, probably your pretty smile.a really good approach is to say hi,I'm ------and shake his hand;a hand shake tells a lot.

He definately likes you (thinks you are pretty). Yes definately catch his eye and smile. This will make his day. A few days after that, go out of your way to talk to him. Doesn't have to be any major conversation, just let him know you have noticed him.

Walk up to him and talk to him. This staring contest is going nowhere. Ask him what his hobbies are or some type of question to get the conversation going.

I think yes, you are attractive, as he is trying politely to discover your reaction…...
Smile is sun-rays of the dawn especially when it came spontaneously from the heart... and greater if it was an answer of his smile..
Sun doesn't know dawn sky's clouds, but its golden silky fingers try to touch their foreheads to enjoy their reflected red shines...

he is interested....probably cant think of an opening line or is losing his nerve...
if your interested try this, when you chatch him looking at you and the two of you have eye contact....mouth the word "hello" with a little smile ...that should get the ball rolling...

Maybe he's attracted to you. Give him a smile next time. That will start the move.
