I ask myself that question all the time.

Only occasionally do I feel that way, and the feeling doesn't last very long. I have too much to be grateful for.
I was born in a free country and after a few months I was healthy---and I've been physically and mentally healthy ever since. I've never had to live in a home without running water, electricity or heat. There has only been a few times in my life when I have not known where my next meal was coming from. Since the age of 20, I have seldom not had a car of my own. I have had the privilege of attending school (in many countries, children don't have that privilege). I have always had at least one person in my life who has loved me. When compared to the average person in the world, my modest home would be considered a mansion. By US standards, I am not much of a "clothes hog", yet I have more clothing in my closet now than many people in the world will own in their lifetime.
I grew up in a home where my father was almost completely blind due to a childhood illness. But he was (and still is) very grateful that the illness "only" affected his sight and didn't paralyze him. He never concentrated on what he didn't have but rather on all of the things that he did have---no matter how small others might think those things are. He can remember living without running water, a refridgerator, hunting for his dinner, and plucking feathers for his bed. He remembers when his grandfather finally got the right to vote. His attitude rubbed off on me. I can also see just how lucky I am.

Have felt that way a few dozen times. It feels like there is someone out there waiting until your almost doing well and gives you a kick. Then you get another kick and another and pretty soon your down and wondering if it will ever stop. Eventually it does and you forget about it and move on, feeling somewhat refreshed and ready to take on the world.
Things do get better and if anything you'll never have to go through the exact same thing again (lesson learned, conflict ended, cure found, feelings mended, heart stronger etc.). Keep a stiff upper lip, enjoy it while you still can, you can complain when your dead.

No, I have never felt that way. I listen to life. I try to learn from my mistakes. I seek to make myself better. To have more understanding and compassion. To not pass judgement. Life is hard when you don't have the wisdom to understand it. But, in time, as your life experiences add up, you begin to see the truth of it all that the eyes of the young cannot see. I am not today who I was thirty, forty years ago. It takes a lot of time to truly understand it all. Do you truly recognize cause and effect in your life, and how it operates? We are responsible for the great majority of what happens to us in our lives through the right choices or the wrong choices we choose to make. It all starts at home, your home, your body, mind and spirit. If you love and respect yourself first, all else will follow accordingly. I really don't think there's any cosmic jokes just cosmic lessons that we each must learn! Try paying closer attention to your own personal attitudes. You have greater effect on your life than you think you do! Keep seeking and searching! Your outside life and circumstance are the mirror of your inner beliefs and personal attitudes. I'd recommend reading, Dr. Wayne Dyer's, "The Power of Intention". The more knowledge you have, the better you will be! Good luck!

I have felt that way, but then I realized by focusing on the negative aspects of life I miss out on all of the good things in my life.
We have to keep things in perspective. Not all of life is bad. Try to notice the good things in life and appreciate them.
Also, no matter how bad things get for you, there is always someone else out there doing a whole lot worse.

Been there.

I suppose you think your situation and life is unique.
Yea right, I need to walk in shoes for awhile.
Many have felt those same feelings.
There is nothing new under the sun.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
Think about this planet earth and all things that offend are removed.
THEN READ THIS
I Cor.2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

MAN, that still blows my mind.
You know eyes have seen the garden of Eden.

yes - i felt that way for a long time - i just finally gave in to the saying, that everything happens for a reason - and what doesn't kill you makes u stronger - - etc - you know, all them - - because if i didn't, i probably wouldn't be here now - really.
i know it's hard, but, honey - hang in there - try to have a positive outlook on things - a little more optimistic - seems silly, but sometimes if you believe the best - at least the worst won't happen - - - good luck!!

Use too until I understood. One has to understand karma and reincarnation to understand life and that nothing is unfair. We also have to understand the laws of material nature or we will continue to suffer life after life. Once you understand all this you accept things knowing we did all of this to our self in one life or another. Want to know it all- go to harekrishnatemple.c Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhpada- tells the purpose and meaning of life and how to get out of this cycle of repeated birth, disease, old age, and death. It is all an illusion here But we can come to reality by this transcendental knowledge.

absolutely. take some comfort in that most people at one time or another feel this way. You can be sure of a few things... you will grow out of it, and with that you will have a lot more control and will see what rewards come from work, you do really make your own luck, and you can really affect your life for the better.

I know what u mean. But I did not give up. Have dreams, and go after them. Think of how great life is and look at people that made something out of nothing. Find a purpose and the right path. Just don't forget the guide (Jesus).
