I want to convert it but is there anyway I can NOT download anything to do it?
Oh, and I tried downloading the Windows Media Encoder and it didn't work at all.

I really don't think youre going to be able to do that without downloading software.
I would reccomed you go to Download.com and search 'AVI. to WMV.' or something along the lines of that.
Once you have your results, tell it to filter free programs. Read reviews to make sure it's worth downloading, then try it out.

WM econder only supports wmv/a format, what u need is an AVI converter
