Help please!

I am 20 years old. I started dating this guy when i was 14 and we had a terrible relationship. He cheated on me, was mentally abusive, and we just fought all the time. We have been off and on for about 2 years. Well he pretty much has changed his life around because he wants to be with me really bad and cries to me all the time about wanting me back. I just feel like I will never trust him again in a relationship. We are still best friends, still hang out and talk on the phone. I just think he needs to have me in his life and I love him in my life.

Now for the terrible part. New Years Eve of 2005, i kissed his best friend at midnight...(we kiss all of our friends at midnight, its a tradition). I started to fall for him that night and It is now 2007 and I have yet to tell him how much in love with him I am. He acts like he feels the same way but I am such a horrible person for falling for him. What do I do?? Please help.

go for it, live your life without regret. A man will cry and swear and beg and plead to get you back...two weeks later...its the same guy you dumped before. Trust is huge...if you dont have it you dont have much

Go for the best friend. If the guy that cheated on you loves you, he will understand. I'm in somewhat taht same situation... I am falling for my roommates ex boyfriend and we have a rule saying we cant date any ex's. But it's hard. I was with him all this weekend and we were unseperable. We kiss in the cheek and everything cuz we both know that it's wrong to kiss since he was kissing her like 2 months ago. But what to do in your problem is if the first boy screwed you up when you were 12, chances are he still will. Don't fool yourself. I'm not saying that to be rude or anything, but if you like the best friend, then stick with him. Good luck!

Oh dear, if you can't trust your ex, then the relationship will be yet again, very painful. You aren't a terrible person, you are doing the right thing for moving on and keeping open options. You are doing the right thing, so continue with it!

Go to the guy you love and get it all out in the open. Find out what he wants to do and go from there.
