i hear people say it all the time... they say something liken John got sweated by Jeff.

it means John get lower paid than Jeff!

when someone is sweatin' you they are giving you a real hard time... That is the context I've always heard it used in... for example when one dude is trying to pick a fight with another, the guy getting picked on says "Why you sweatin' me man?"
