I found that SunSilk conditioner does wonders. I have the same problem and I have long, thick hair. After years of trying to control my frizz, I finally found something that works. As far as conditioner, I use A/G if I have it on hand, otherwise any kind of conditioner will work. Don't use conditioner/shampoo combo, you need full strength of each. Now...here's the part you might not like because it will cost $$$. I don't use store bought shampoo anymore, unless it's Aussie or SunSilk (pink or blue bottle). To keep the frizz down, I use A/G or Aquage products from a salon. I think any shampoo from a salon will work just as good. This is just what my salon carries. After I wash and condition my hair, I don't use any products, except maybe sunsilk cream once in awhile. I bought one of those T3 Tourmaline hair dryers and use that to dry my hair. When my hair is about 1/2 dry, I do the cool shot for a couple minutes and then heat until my hair is dry or mostly dry. Then I use a T3 Tourmaline flat iron. I use both at the highest they can go. I think the highest the flat iron goes is 450 degrees. The hair dryer and flat iron are expensive about $250/$300 a piece, but for frizzy hair, I think they are a must. I had a lot of trouble spending that much on a hair dryer and flat iron, but after a couple uses, it was well worth it. My frizz was tamed, my hair was shiny and soft and my hair was actually being straightened by the iron. The flat iron was actually the only flat iron that works for my thick hair. I have tried almost all store bought flat iron and none of them worked on my hair. Hope this helps. It is an expensive solution, but I think you'd be really happy with the results.
Everyone's hair is different. This solution may or may not work for you,but you won't know unless you try. My friend has thick hair and can use a store bought flat iron. Her sister has thick her and can't use a store bought one, she uses an actual clothes iron. If you don't want to spend $300 on a hair dryer....ebay. That's how I got my T3 and when it breaks, I would now gladly pay the $300 to replace it.

Hello!!! Everybody are saying differents thing, but no all work the same in all people. In my case (I have curly hair too) I use a hair care line called Pro Natural’s base on Argan OIL. I use to brush my hair in the shower while I have conditioner on and then when I get out I pat my hair dry and I use some argan oil to smooth down the frizz. Mine is called Pro Natural and I ordered it online it is so worth it, I never leave the house without using that stuff first. It helps a lot. It’s not greasy or anything and it smells good. After that you can do whatever you want with your hair. I'm loving it so far:))))))

have you had your thyroid checked??
what about your water - do you have hard water?
both can contribute to the dryness.
make sure you're using quality shampoo and conditioner, too. if you're using suave or herbal essences or even panteene - all are terrible for your hair!
try redken all soft shampoo and conditioner.
and make sure you're using a serum when you flat iron. a good suggestion is either redken heat glide, which you can apply wet or dry, or paul mitchell super skinny. if you do chose the PM product, i'd suggest getting the shampoo and conditioner as well.
try talking to your stylist at your next appointment - she should be able to offer you some good suggestions, or bring those products up with her!
and as always, salon products are 100% guaranteed only when sold by a professional - that means no buying them from meijers or target or rite-aid!!
hope this helps!

That's weird that you hair is thinning out. I have the same problem with thick hair, use biosilk or any kind of greasey substance when your blow dry and especially straighten your hair, that will keep it from drying out. Also, I would recommend taking vitamin E it is suppose to be good for your hair, nails, etc. good luck!
