my first new car was a 1993 z28 that i had dreamed about from the time it was just a concept vehicle. that was the year they changed the body style. i never thought i would get one. i was in the army when my mother passed away and i was 18. to ease the pain, my father took me to buy the car of my dreams. i loved this car, but i soon lost my license for too many speeding tickets. i was too young for a fast sports car. it's been 14 years since i sold it, and i've been really carsick you might say. the car may be a wreck now, but i'd really like to find it. does anybody know how i could locate it? i don't have the vin, or any info on the car, except that i sold it in colorado and i bought it in tennessee. surely someone has tried to find a car they were in love with as a teen.

I would seriously recommend getting a '98 or newer Z28 you will definitely love that one more, they get better gas mileage and have more horse power. As for finding your lost love, if you don't have a VIN it may be hard to find. 93's in general are rare, there wasn't many sold that year.

Contact the dealer you bought it from. They might have the VIN filed away in your customer folder. Also, as recommended by another user, check with your Sec. of State's Motor Vehicle Dept.

Once you get the VIN, I am not sure if you can track the car down unless the Sec. of State would do it for you. If you have a police officer friend, he/she could run the VIN for you assuming the car is still being used.

There is no replacing sentimental value, but if you don’t have the VIN just look for another 93 Z28 with the same color and equipment.
