ok, there is is this guy i really like, we have known each other for over a year now. from the day we met, we have got on heaps well. he flirted with me and everything, bought me drinks, kissed my hand, gav me his number etc anyways, about two months ago, my friend found out from him that he just really likes me as a friend and nothing more, and when my friend asked him why, he didnt say any reason. so ok, i, atm trying to move on and stuff, but he still flirts with me. wen i have had other guys u know look at me and stuff, he has said to me, "na, they are not good enough for u", so im confused. does he like me or not?

I am in a very similar situation...I mean, you can only go on what he says and how he acts, and the way you (or your friend) interpret may not be what he means, and if he treats you like a girlfriend or whatever but says you aren't, it's hard. Maybe he is scared to make a commitment, or is just super flirty, or was interested in a relationship at one time and now he really cares about you in a big-brother type way. Who really knows and can know? I feel like all you can do is probably confront him about it, and focus on how you feel about him, rather than how he feels about you. Do you like him? If you do, tell him that you like him (as more than a friend) and care about him and would like to pursue something more if he is interested. If he isn't, then try your best to find a guy that you like and cares about you in the same way.

He most probably likes flirting around with you. But he most probably doesn't want some flirting to turn into something more than just that! He likes you- as a friend and as a beautiful girl he can flirt around with. But want nothing more. So you should move on to find a guy who doesn't want you just to flirt and have fun with. It doesn't however mean that you can't stay friends with him. Infact you should stay friends with him. I think most girls come across guys who are flirt around but remain just friends. If you're having fun, keep flirting. If not, drop the flirting and act like you would with your other friends.

it means that he's not interested in you as a girl friend. he likes you as a friend.
I kno it's hard but you have to move on because it's not going to go any further then just friends.

Talk to this guy yourself and see how he feels about you. Your friend might be misleading you. It sounds as though he likes you....a lot.

It sounds like he does like you but he's afraid to show his feelings towards you, most likely in fear of rejection or something.
