Theres a girl that works on the same floor as me but on the other side of the room. weve told eachother hi once or twice but no serious conversation. for valentines day i wanted to leave a single rose and maybe some chocolates on her desk, and she probably wont know its from me. if something was to ever become of us of course i would tell her then. i dont really want her to know right now cause it might be awkward. i just want to give it to her because shes such a beautiful girl and im sure it will make her feel good. is this a dumb idea or should i go through with it.

I think that is so romantic sweet and generous of you, however only do it if you know for sure she isn't spoken for because it would be awkward for everyone and even though it would be very flattering to her it may feel uncomfortable at the same time.

yea its a good idea but it might be good if u had a conversation with her first and if u havent by valentines day just put a rose and some candy on her desk saying to u from u and if she likes u then she will give u sighs if u should try to talk to her and if not then u have nothing to lose because it doesnt seam like u and her r that good of freinds so if she likes u then great of not then u have nothign to lose (oh and just to let u know if U make the first move then it makes it seam like u know what u want and u will go and get it!)

I think it is a very good idea, and very sweet. I would do as you say, and leave them on her desk, and not have it delivered. That way she will know it is from someone in the building...

I think that that's great! Even if she doesn't like you, she will still find it very flattering and will have her eye out for you. By the way, when you say department, do you mean work? Or school?
