Yes I believe that the bible is the inspired word of God. I agree with each and every part. I don't just take one verse out of the bible and say, well it is true because of this verse right here. I take the bible as a whole and study each verse for what it is. The bible has to harmonize from Genesis to Exodus. If it doesn't then you need to dig and see why it doesn't. There are TOO many interpretations of the bible, so many people believe in too many different things. The bible tells us there is only only one truth.

Martin Luther once wrote that the Bible holds the Word of God as the manger held the Christ Child.
God wants us to believe in Him, not the messenger - be it a book or a preacher.
The Bible is a miracle of parables, history, myth, wisdom, poetry, and prophecy. It is not perfect. There are still words that have not been translated. In the Hebrew and Greek, there were neither punctuation nor spaces between words, the Hebrew doesn't have vowels. For 3 - 5 centuries, the story was passed down by oral history. For 2000 years it was copied by pious people, subject to the same frailties you are if you copied page after page year after year.
An example - to treat a parable as true is false because a parable, as a literary form has but one meaning. To read it as a truth destroys it.
You do well to believe, in God. Reading the Bible is what strengthens that faith.

Yes, because it is a logical blueprint on how we should live.
Also, the Bible hinted at the world being round before man decided that it was round; so yes, the Bible is true.Job 26:10, Prov 8:27, Isaiah 40:22, Amos 9:6

The bible is the inerrant infallible word of God. The thing is if there is one part of the bible that people do not believe in, then do they really believe in it at all? I think you either believe or you don't. You can't pick and choose one verse over another. Thank you Lord for giving us our Basic.Instructions.Before.Leaving.Earth so that we would know how to live and live eternally!

The Bible is not a history book. It is a template for how God wants us to live our lives. In that sense, it is absolutely true.
I do not worry about the many discrepancies between Bible history and the scientific evidence which describes our universe very differently. I believe that God inspired the stories and that they were written to touch our spirits..... not to teach us a history lesson.

Parts of it are probably true. There probably really was a place called Egypt, a tribe of Israel may have exited it, and there may have been someone named Jesus (no one is really sure)...
