i was talk'n to a friend at work about this beautiful girl i like and i guess he knew her. He offered her number and all of her other information but i refused, wanting to get it myself. I heard today at work from a close friend that the other kid told this girl some stuff at a party about me saying that im in love with her and stuff. My friend told me that when he told her this she seemed sorta wierded out and said "we can be friends..." I wasnt heading for a straight forward relationship with her but would have loved the chance to have one and i sorta feel that this kid messed it up for me by telling her that. My question is, if wanted to, do you think he would have really messed it up for me if i tried or, should i just settle for just friends?

I dont think he messed anything up. when u talk to her tell her you never said you were in love with her considering u dont know her. all u want is to get to know her so there is nothing to worry about. mostlikly she will be cool with that youll gain a new friend and potentially a g/f if u still want it later. hope i helped.

maybe the kid stretched the truth a little for you. just talk to the girl ask her out on a date and see what she says. if she says no then she's likely not into you anyway.

I'd just talk with her. Tell her that your friend shouldn't have approached her on your behalf, you didn't ask him to do that. Regardless, you won't know for sure how she feels until you talk to her yourself. Who knows, maybe it will just start out as friends, and it could progress to more?!

Who knows......the person that told her that could have just been joking because he wanted her for himself.....if you want this girl then go for it! What have ya got to loose?

RUMORS!!! You can still go for it, you don't know what really happened or what was really said, what if she likes you? Go ahead, ask her out.
