Not really... when we tell Iraq to secure their border, we are saying they better step up in thir fight against the influx of weapons and money and foreign fighters... in other words- help us get their country under control.
Think if we had a similar problem with that from Mexico... the border would be a heavily secured and barren no-mans land littered with bomb craters and dead terrorist bits and pieces.
Pretty far from irony...

As the above poster pointed out you are comparing apples to oranges.
We do not have dozens or hundreds of bodies turning up on the streets in just one major city, the correlation would be around 1000 bodies a day in a country our size vs Iraq.
We are not on the verge of collapse into a civil war being caused by Canada and Mexico, Iraq is.
the only credibility sinking here is the credibility of a loaded question that sets up a false comparison.

yeah tell me about it.. those guys so called guarding our borders should be given jobs as traffic cops.. they are just out to ticket and harrass you ..Thats the ones coming into the US ..I guess im over reacting but my wife and i took a little tour of mexico and it was sad we went there and the mexican police and security were awesome we came back and the gastpo harassed us and tried to intimidate us ..Its annoying to have a border cop stop you and act like you are doing something wrong when you are innocent..i cant imagine trying to come into this country I wouldnt even want to be an illegal.. Im sorry I sound so mean but we were living in the deep south .. and the border cops that stopped us wanted to know what we were doing so far north..I started laughing in his face and said hey buddy we have a map if you want to find out exactly how far north you are of us.. It was a riot but its a good thing he wasnt in front of me on the way out he would be under my car..i was so angry that i am a citizen of the US and they have moron guarding us stopping citizens lol.. its like the inmates guarding the prisoners ,just ironic..

Because with the Iraq/Iran and Iraq/Syrian borders the American government can simply blame somebody else for an impossible situation.

We need better Border patrol along our borders. Both on on the North and the South Side. I'm surprised we don't already have a wall that runs along the whole length of the south side.

The only possible answer is that the present administration along with the democrat houses are pandering to the latino legal votes !
Why is it that Bush wants billions of dollars for Iraq and we have homeless citizens ? - Why is it that democrats, supposedly for the people, do nothing about it ? -

You cannot compare the US border to the boder of Iraq. You are trying to compare an apple to an orange.
