I've noticed recently that my butt crack is kind of dark. I wasn't sure if maybe it's from sweat. I never feel sweaty, and I don't think it's chafing. It doesn't hurt. I keep myself pretty clean, so I'm not sure what this could be from. It's only where skin touches skin. Would powder help?

Ummmm....everybody's crack is darker. How in the world were you checking this anyway?

Depending on your ethnic background, you can be a "pinkie" or a "brownie" (my own terminology!). Most people of Asian, African, native American (meaning not European and also extends to Central and South America) descent tends to be brownies. I am half Asian, half white and am a brownie. My sister who is also half Asian, half white is a pinkie.
There is nothing wrong with you or the color. Some people have different preferences (my husband loves brownies), but if it really bothers you, anal bleaching is an option. However, this is fairly new and with all new procedures, you really won't know the long term effects. You should be happy with your body the way it is!

usually in african americans that is always the case. if you are caucasion,hmmmm. the farther towards the anus it will tend to have a darker pigment. if it isnt a rash or blistery and has always been there, dont worry. if it keeps you up at night,,, see a dr.

I saw on Dr. 90210 about a procedure called anal bleaching if it bothers you.
