God really has laid something on my heart about starting a permenamt food drive at my church. too often we only think of giving food at thanksgiving or christmas, when it's a year-round problem...anyways, i'd like to have a meaningful name for this...just so i can have it printed up in the bulliten:
"don't forget about such-and-such project, that will be collecting canned and dry goods every sunday in the foyer"

As a "non church goer" I have to commend you on this. It's noble to think of others. You should put a destination on it. Like if you have a college or shelter the people in your church know of. If they have in thier minds where the food is going they will be more likely to remember to bring it.
"Every Sunday we will collecting dry goods for the students at (blank) collage. With rising tuition prices many of them can not afford the proper nutrition they need. Please donate what you are able and we will ensure it reaches them"

How about calling it Food For Thought. Get people to think about what it is to have little food, and what it is to have much and be able to help others. I think that is why we are here. To help each other and love each other. Too many times we really don't think about what others might be going through. Good luck with what you are doing. Thank you for helping others.
