I suppose anything Mexican or Spanish sounding would be way too literal although, if you research the breed there are theories that it originated in CHina, Egypt, and even India with small dogs having been found in tombs, paintings, etc. If you want to go with the "blue" idea, being a fan of blues music, some great names pop up there -- Mose (as in Mose Allison), Thelonius (as in Thelonius Monk), Howling Wolf (especially if he's a barker), and things like that. I'd be interested to know what you wind up with!

The following from http://www.mvp-wc.usace.army.mil/riverice/iahr_ice_terminology.html
Frazil (Fine spicules, plates or discoids of ice suspended in water. In rivers and lakes it is formed in supercooled turbulent waters.)

Wait...your dog is blue?!
That's totally cool.
Forgive the pun.
Anyway, you should name your dog Elvis, after "blue christmas"
Or maybe Belushi, after Dan Belushi of the blues brothers!
lol.
