My father-in-law is big into Mopar and restorations and stuff. (He has had so many cars...) Anyway, if you are wanting to add value (as in you plan to sell it and are restoring it), then leave the horn alone. Otherwise, have fun! Why not?

If you want to I wouldn't change the horn but owning a car that ran like the general lee would be an honor. The general lee is awesome.

Well a 72 looks nothing Like the Dorks of Hazard car, So I don't get the connection. Unless you just want to look stupid like the General Lee car does. I don't like mopars......But what a waste of Dodge Chargers.

I wouldn't but that's just me...If you do install it I would keep the original horn hooked to the steering wheel and hook the other to a button elsewhere. Reason is that if you ever need your horn for a serious reason the G. Lee horn will only cause distraction.

Putting a horn in a vehicle is a matter of personal preference. I would not do any major modifications to the vehicle, but a horn will neither help nor hurt the value!

Put any horn in it just use a switch to use the new horn and keep the old horn in place for future resale.

If you do it, keep the original horn around so it can be replaced. And there are more than enough General Lee replicas in the world. Please don't paint it like it. It isn't funny anymore.

Sure go ahead. People who know Chargers will understand. So big deal if you are off a couple of years.

you can if you want to just don't do like a friend of mine and run it with no fuse.He burnt his car up when the wires shorted out and caught fire.

I wouldn't, but that is my point of view. The best question you need to ask is if it is legal?
Ask the DMV in your state. If they say okay, go for it. If they say no, then don't.
