Great program Autocad is.
You may contact your local community college and ask for help from the CAD department or a student.
One teaches best what one needs to learn.

I have done subdivision design and development using AutoCAD. If you have specific questions, I would be more than happy to help you. I'm a land surveyor and have created dozens of subdivision plats for different engineering companies.
