SO many people on here... particularly Christians... keep saying stuff like "I don't believe in Evolution because it says I'm a lower animal and I come from better than that!", "If we come from apes, why are there still apes around?", "Evolution says matter comes from nothing. I won't believe something like that", "Science is lying to us. Scientists made up Evolution to brainwash people", etc., etc., etc.

This is all insane. All of these are false! You people who reject Evolution have no earthly idea what it even is. Hear misconceptions about it and then say it's false? That's no way to go around making decisions! Think people... read up on it. It's not as bad as you think. Nay, it's not bad at all. It doesn't belittle us. It's just science.

"Evolution is a theory with no proof to back it up."

Another miconception: Evolution is JUST a theory.

Uh... no. It's a theory and a fact. Evolution is NOT being disputed. It's already proven. The HOW it happened is what is being questioned. That's what people don't understand.

The main reason? Religious myths.

People don`t want to believe because they feel that they are going against their beliefs. They think they have to choose between their faith and science.

My answer to the "science says matter came from no where" thing: Thats where religious beliefs come in. The Big Bang theory seems too random. It may have happened, but I think something had to have guided it to created such an organized Universe. I believe in evolution, but how do the species know what changes to make and when? Is there an afterlife? People make it seem like you need to choose between religion and science, but they can both complete each other. Religion can explain what science can`t.

The only rational reason for believing in evolution is if you reject the idea of creation. If you think that we arrived here by natural forces, then I guess that evolution is the best idea that they have been able to come up with.

If you believe that you are the result of creation, and that the Bible has any significance, you obviously can't accept evolution at the same time.

If you believe that natural forces can produce something by accident, that scientists in laboratories are unable to duplicate, you obviously must have faith. I think it is easier to have faith that there was intelligence behind our existence. I don't have enough faith to believe that I descended from an ape, or some other simian.

Without the assumption of creation without a Creator, nobody would have ever heard of evolution. And an assumption is a strange thing to base "science" on.

A theory is not fact. Only a law can be a FACT. Although it is an acceptable theory and most scientists accept it as such, it is still not proven. Personally, I do not believe that this is what happened. I think it is part of what happened but not the whole part.

Futhermore, you can not go around telling people that they are wrong to believe what they do because in thruth you do not know either. You are basing your opinions on what scientists believe to be fact and pardon the pun but you are acting like God himself. That is the point, with every question and answer on here, we base our opinions on beliefs given to us by other people why not what you think yourself. Every answer I give is based on my own opinion of how I see things and not how others tell me what I should think and feel and I do not care wheter or not anyone agrees with me or not.

I can clearly say that even when I was a Christian(about 7 years ago) I didn't have any issues with Evolution it just wasn't something I really thought much about. As a Christian I jut felt that God being God, could use any methouds he chose to bring about life on this planet.
I'm an agnostic now and I still don't think much about evolution at least in the past tense I have acceptied it as the closet we have come to understanding where we came from. I believe that evolution is still occuring today all around us in very subtle ways and mutation is a classic example of that.

As my college phsyics teacher explained to me nothing is a fact and is proven. Things are just the best explanation at the time until something better comes along and explains it better. I believe that micro-evolution can be real, species evolving within their own species...but never once have we, since our recorded history of a couple thousand years, seen macro-evolution, speices evolving to new species, take place. If someone could show me how this happened then i would believe

If u want to claim apes as your ancestors then all means do if thats how you feel about it, but there's a thin line between logical explanations and what i like to call theory stupidity.I strongly suggest that u give us facts and evidence that evolution is real and maybe everyone can understand why u are stuck on evolution and why u believe in this stuff.

Yes, it is very frustrating, but there doesn't seem to be much point in trying to get such people to change their minds on this. Some people either do not understand, or have no interest in how scientific theory is developed, and base their understanding of the world on a literal reading of the Bible or the Koran.

Here are just a few reasons for evolution being False ! During all of recorded human history there has " never " been a subtantiated scientific case of a living thing being producted by anything other than another living thing ! Your science has proven that matter cannot creat itself ! It is highly premature for " materialist " to claim that all living things evolved into existence from " nothing " , when even your science has yet to this day ; discovered how even one protein molecule could actually have come into existence by any natural process known to man and his science !! The building block of all living things is DNA !! Its` genetic code is built in to determine what type of life will be created from each different genetic code that is found in all DNA !! Man and his science have no earthly idea how to create DNA , they never have , and they never will !! Knowledge cannot create itself , therefore there is no other answer other than any initial knowledge came from God ! Matter cannot create itself , and you cannot create order out of disorder in the chemical scheme of things !! God Almighty is The Author of Life , and the producer of DNA to recreate life as He has Willed it ! If there is no God as you believe , on what basis is there any meaning or hope for fairness , comfort , or better times without a personal Creator God ?? If there is no God as you believe , how are you anything other than the coinidental , purposeless miscarriage of nature spinning round and round on a lonely planet in the blackness of space for just a little while before you and all memory of your futile , pointless , meaningless life finally blinks out forever in the endless darkness !!! If your own man-made science and all it`s glorious ability to do great wonders cannot " CREATE " the DNA that sustains all life , then how in GODs` Universe do you think you started from something that cannot be reproduced by man and his science to this day ??

Many of the people who do not believe in evolution are scientist, med. Doctors, Geologist, Biologist, Professors, Astronauts, Chemist, Red necks, and so on-just like those who do believe in evolution. Evolution is a theory with no proof to back it up. Every support for it is speculative, there are no hard facts.
