There is this guy at work. We get along very well with each other. That`s the reason why my colleagues think that there´s more than friendship between us. He´s been very caring to me since Christmas. He calls almost every day just to say hi which he didn´t do before. Sometimes, when he had a few drinks too much, he ´s even more caring. I asked him once if he´s in love with me(he once told that he loved me when he was drunk) and he said no. Then a colleague asked him the same question and he neither denied nor did he admit to love me. I know that he is not being honest to me concerning he feelings and thoughts. But I just don`t know how to make him say the truth.

I have a friend who met a very strange guy. He calls her everyday, and so much caring that makes her think he must have affection for her. After she tries to get close to him and reveal her love, he reacts so anxiously and angry, at the end, he attacked her vervally, saying he will bring another girl home.
Of course, this can be extreme, but if a guy never admits he likes you, there are few possible reasons, it can be
1) he doesn't like you, he lovers another girl, and is trying to love you.
2) when he gets drunk, he doesn't know what he is saying.
3) he wants to test you, but never pick a guy who tests a girl, that means he didn't give out sincerity, and probably holding some kind of problems that he secretly have.
If you want to break the ice, you must be prepared, there are only 2 possibilities
1) you two will not speak to each other again, or will not so close anymore
2) he tells you he likes you and you two keep going on and work out.
My suggestion is, to find true love, you need to find a guy who can be honest with you, and not afraid of showing his care to you like a man. don't expect to change anymore, if he is extreme, you get hurt like my friend.

Well how did he tell you when he said no to you. Was he like joking around when he said it? Or was he very straight forward with a straight serious face? And the same with him telling your friends. I'm sure he will have the day he will confess to you about everything. Right now he wants you to truely understand that he will always be there for you. Once when you really do accept that he will tell you how he truly feels. Right now he's just building it up on you and wants you to know how much he really does care for you. Just be patient. I'm sure you and him will have a happy ending. Even if nothing happens at least you know he will always be a great friend to you.

I know this wasn't your question, but as many of you here know already, I am VEHEMETLY opposed to office romances.
They are always trouble.
You should be working rather than stressing over if your coworker is in love with you.
So if he isn't wouldn't that make it all weird for you?
You already have ANOTHER coworker involved in your personal life and is wasting time vexing over this instead of working.
Please reconsider what you are doing.

Honey, I don't think you CAN make him say the truth. Like all of us, some things just need time. He is one of them.. I think he needs time to figure things out, and to build up the courage or whatever it is before he tells you his feelings. I know it's hard, but sometimes you have to wait. After all, the greatest things in life aren't the easiest to get.

You can't make him tell the truth, but maybe if you put your feelings out there first, he will tell you his. It's possible he doesn't want to admit to liking you like that because he is scared of your reaction and possibly losing you as a friend. Good luck!

Ask him if he wants to sleep with you. If he says yes, well at least you'll know he doesn't respect you. And about the second or third drink you won't be with him anyway, by then you'll be with his "BEST" friend "Al"(alcohol). Only GOD knows where he will be. And who knows, later on down the road when he's not there maybe his best friend "Al" will show you his affection and beat you half to death. Ask someone who's been with "Al"

When we're intoxicated, we tend to say or do alot of things which we don't mean. If he's not willing to admit it while sober, then what you think may be the truth, may not be it. Don't give yourself false hopes in the beginning, it may not be to your advantage if it's not up to your expectations later on.

You should go on a date with him for heaven's sake. It sounds like you like him too. Your use of the word collegue (and not co worker) suggests that you work in a professional environment. Chances are DAMN GOOD that he may be a little nervous about approaching you due to this. He may be afraid of talking to you. Go out with him for cryin out loud. Us guys are afraid of gettingg nailed for sexual harrassment. You should ask...women don't get in trouble for sexual harrassment. And keep it on the DL in the workplace. Peace out.

Sounds to me like you both are interested in each other and yet both of you are too shy....hence the drinks for "courage" etc.
I suggest you ask him out to dinner, avoid the drinks, and discuss life in general. Seems like you need to get to know one another better.
