How can I get an internship at the American embassy in another country?

I am a sophmore at a liberal arts college searching for a great international internship.

What a great idea. We have interns regularly, and love them. They are not hired directly by embassies, but must apply through the State Department and then are assigned either to State offices in the US or embassies overseas. Here is a link that might help you:

Try networking. And apply to as many embassies that you can. Write up a stellar Resume.
