If you are still a virgin, he may have been stretching your cervix in a way that he was disturbing your hymen.
Otherwise, it was probably his method, or lack of lubricant. Next time, try lubricant, and have him be gentle and slow.

I would guess that the reason is because you are still quite young and your body didn't respond in the way your boyfriend thought.
Odds are you were afraid more than aroused... and your body responded protectively.
Even circumstances where you can get caught could create that type of response.
Read up on female sexuality and masturbation, and take it slow. Your body will let you know when you're ready.

You may not have been properly lubricated. Next time have him use some lubricant on his finger. If it still hurts, you may want to check with your gyno.

his hands may have been really rough, or if you were having sex for a while adn it was kinda of dry then it would hurt when he did it also.
