if he ready said yes to a generic date, not specific date, what about approaching him for valentine's day? Or since he did say yes, is he waiting until Valentine's Day is over before going on the first date? Is Valentine's Day a bad first date?

Try to do it before valentines day so you don't have to do anything special. Spend some time to get to know each other on Valentine's Day.

No...it is not a crime to go out on the first date during Valentine's Day. You need to be confidance and not sleazy.

Is there a better time to go on a date? Seriously. In case you wonder about breakups, it's always best to breakup RIGHT BEFORE Valentine's day...that way you don't have to buy them a bunch of crap.

No it isn't. It's pretty cool to talk about with your kids, saying "we had our first date on valentine's day." That would be a great idea. maybe bring a surprise gift.

I would say that it depends how well you know him. If you know him well enough and feel comfortable asking him, then go ahead. As long as you keep the date light and not too serious...you might scare him into thinking that you're a couple already.

i would try to sneak in a few dates before feb 14. then, hopefully by feb 14, you will have made some progress and it will feel more special and meaningful to have a date on feb 14.
